Economic Development Round-table Discussion

Thursday, January 22, 2009 • 5:00-7:00PM
Garden Room at Hart Park

In November, the Wauwatosa’s Common Council appointed funds for a study on economic development for the city. The City of Wauwatosa has partnered with Ryan Horton and URS Corporation to analyze current economic development efforts in Wauwatosa and to recommend an organizational structure for economic development activities in the City.

A round-table discussion to address the concerns of small businesses and community groups in Wauwatosa is scheduled for Thursday, January 22, 2009, from 5:00 until 7:00pm and will take place in the Garden Room at Hart Park, located at 7300 Chestnut Street, Wauwatosa, WI 53213. Note: this meeting was originally scheduled for December but was rescheduled due to bad weather.

The meeting is being held as an informal discussion. There will be two tables set up: one for small business interests and one for community groups. Feel free to drop in at any time and to stay as long as you want.

Information is being gathered to learn about how the city’s development process can be improved, to determine future opportunities for economic development, and to provide information about the scope of the planning process.

Consider attending this important meeting that can especially impact the east Tosa area. Your input is very valuable to this process and to Wauwatosa’s future.
