The TETNA Scholarship is intended to recognize neighborhood high school seniors whose activities demonstrate support for the Association’s philosophy: To provide a welcoming and nurturing environment and to maintain the quality of life and sense of community through shared interests and neighborly interaction.

This year TETNA plans to offer two $250 scholarships to seniors graduating in the Spring of 2009. To be eligible, the candidate’s family must be current members of TETNA and live in the Tosa East Towne neighborhood. Our application is simple. We ask students to describe how their participation in community, church and/or other activities embodies the above philosophy. Deadline for applications is March 2, 2009.

Our scholarship fund is made possible by donations from Tosa East Towne residents. Please, consider making a donation to our fund when you become a member or renew your membership with TETNA during our October membership drive. Businesses associated with TETNA members or neighborhood businesses are also invited to consider making donations to the fund. We have been able to increase our scholarship amount for next Spring, in part, through the generous pledge made by a local businessman and resident.
