Membership Chair Position Added

Do you excel at creating spreadsheets? Consider becoming the new TETNA membership chair. The bulk of your volunteer efforts would be once a year after the annual membership drive. Duties include collecting membership forms, providing dues to Treasurer, inputting, organizing and updating the membership spreadsheet, providing volunteer information to appropriate chairpersons, and serving as the source for membership questions. TETNA TGIF

Join your old friends and meet some new neighbors at this relaxing adult social. While you’re there, say thanks to Tiger Beyer for his efforts in starting and coordinating this event. See you at Walters on North, May 30, starting at 5 p.m.

Rummage Registration Deadline

It is never too early to start cleaning your closets, de-cluttering your garage and re-organizing your basement! TETNA will hold its annual neighborhood-wide rummage sale on Saturday, June 7th. Please complete the registration form and mail it or drop it off to Heidi Hudson-Mairet 2415 N. 66th St., Tosa, WI, 53213. No call-in registration, please. Deadline for rummage registration is May 31st and the rummage is free for TETNA members; for non-members the fee is $5.00. This form is provided early this year, as the next newsletter’s delivery is just before the sale.

We would like to have some yard signs this year and additional forms of spreading the word. If you’re interested in helping with the rummage sale in any capacity, or if you have questions, please contact Heidi at 259-0315 or email shudsonmairet@wi.rr.com.

TETNA newsletters come out four times a year (February, May, July, and September/October). If you or someone you know is not getting newsletters, please contact your area representative listed here. It is our goal to reach all homes in the Tosa East Towne Neighborhood Association.

TETNA Board Meeting

Board meetings are open to everyone in the Tosa East Towne neighborhood. Please feel free to attend. Upcoming meetings for 2008 are currently scheduled for: May 12, June 9, August 11, October 13 and November 10. We gather at 7 p.m. at the Lutheran Home, 7500 W. North Ave.

North Avenue Neighborhood Alliance

Survey Says…

A recent survey, conducted by the North Avenue Neighborhood Alliance, highlighted residents’ concerns about safety and economic health of North Avenue.

In a community survey, over 350 residents of the Pabst Park and East Town neighborhoods responded to questions about how current businesses meet their needs, types of business where they would likely spend money, pedestrian safety and crime.

Top concerns included pedestrian safety issues and the desire for greater variety of businesses and amenities catering to the needs of these neighborhoods.
